Biloxi, MS may not sound like a place you'd expect a 'rollicking' good time, but don't let it fool ya! This Southern town has plenty of action and hosts a super hot spot - Beau Rivage Resort and Casino.
Scan the papers, especially the Sunday papers, and if you're lucky you'll discover a coupon designed to entice you to visit. That's just how our weekend trip happened!
For much less than a couple of hundred dollars, we (a co-worker friend and myself) left Atlanta for a one-hour flight (as opposed to a 5/6 hour drive), and arrived at a very attractive establishment.
It's always a joy to find rooms aren't 'sacrificied" with these specials and that's just what we found! Our accommodations were nice and comfortable.
In addition, we were presented with meal vouchers, and not just the 'dollar off' kind. We not only saved a pretty penny with them, we dined happily! Their conveniently located restaurants served up some tempting menus! The service was excellent, too. A friendly wait staff makes a good meal even better!
Of course, any spot that features a casino wants you to go there - and stay there! Beau Rivage is no different, but its friendly atmosphere and fun music make it very easy to sit back and forget the clocks!
I'm the one-armed bandit part of this team; my friend loves blackjack! We were both more than satisfied. Needless to say, the more my bells started going off, the more satisfied I became!
When you need a break, you can relax on a patio or two and just take a breather! The clean grounds were impressive and the atmosphere is very laid back.
Like to shop? You can have a grand old time! Some of the stores are pricey, but you can locate some great bargains. We lucked into swim suits marked between $15 and $20 - down from over $100 each! She found a pair of shoes normally priced at over $75 for under $20.
Biloxi is on the Gulf, so while there go ahead and take advantage of some of their tours. We went on a fishing expedition and I even caught a shark! There are plenty of excursions available to suit just about every taste. Go for it!
Can you tell I enjoy Beau Rivage a great deal? You will, too! Make it a weekend trip or a week-long trip! This is one attractive, lively place and you can bet there's another trip in my future!
